Audra
Bielke has been involved with horses since
the age of five. Growing up in Wayzata, Minnesota
she became an avid three day eventer with her
Thoroughbred, Golden Opportunity, aka Goldie.
After a summer spent in Pennsylvania as a working
student for three day eventing Gold Medalist Phillip
Dutton, Audra decided to leave Minnesota and move
east. This decision led her to pursue her undergraduate
degree at Bucknell University, where she double
majored in International Relations and East Asian
Studies.>Of course, Audra brought her faithful
companion, Goldie, to Bucknell with her. In May
2004 Audra moved to Washington, DC, with Goldie
(now retired from competition) in tow. Goldie
lived in Middleburg and Audra lived in Georgetown.
During this time, Audra also acquired Raffie,
a rescue Thoroughbred from Florida. Fed up with
the long commute to the barn, Audra and her husband,
Tom, bought a farm near Fredericksburg, Virginia
in February 2006. They currently live at Spring
Farm with their Three horses and two golden retrievers.
When she's not out exploring her new stomping
grounds with Goldie and Raffie, Audra works for
Prospect 33, a global offshore and nearshore sourcing
IT company. Audra is thrilled to join the board
of Thoroughbred Network and looks forward to participating
in its future growth and development.
